Showdown is a high-energy country dance convention created by 8 Count Country in 2025 to give North Carolina dancers more access to workshops, competitions, and meaningful community experiences.
What started as a local opportunity quickly grew into a national draw, welcoming dancers from across the country to “swing through” NC! Now heading into its third event, The Showdown is expected to bring together hundreds of dancers of all levels in an inclusive, high-quality environment.
Built with intention, the event prioritizes the dancer experience—fostering connection, strong community, and a level playing field for everyone... And with the now-iconic “LET’S GO!” energy behind it, the momentum is undeniable.

NC STATE QUALIFIER
North Carolina Dancers! We are kicking off a NC Country Swing circuit at the Showdown. All residents may compete in the Jack and Jill to qualify for the Championship at Showdown Vol.4 2027
